Hypnobirthing Classes
Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal preparation built around deep relaxation, breathing and mindset. You'll learn how your body works in labour, how your conscious and subconscious mind affect it, and how to work with your body the way nature intended — so your birth can be more efficient and far more comfortable. By the end of the course you and your birth partner will feel prepared, calm and ready to welcome your baby in the best possible way.
What’s included
- Four two-hour sessions delivered by Tracy and Lisa
- The Hypnobirthing Book by Katherine Graves — an inspirational guide for a calm, confident birth
- Unique relaxation audios and scripts
- Goody bag included
What you'll cover
- Your body
- How your body works — the muscles of the uterus and the hormones — and how KGH mums can have a positive, empowering experience.
- Your mind
- How your conscious and subconscious mind affect your body. The body does nothing without your mind telling it to; with mind and body working together, birth can be efficient and much more comfortable.
- Language
- Why negative and thoughtless language can have a devastating effect on how you give birth — and how your partner's natural instinct to protect you helps keep you safe.
- Techniques
- Practical hypnobirthing techniques, plus mindset and confidence building.
- Your birth partner
- The birth partner's role, and how to support and advocate for you throughout.
- Informed choices
- Making informed choices, and how to navigate 'the system' you find yourself in and work with it to achieve the best result for you.

- When should I book my antenatal or hypnobirthing course?
- Most parents start classes between 24 and 32 weeks of pregnancy, but it's never too early to reserve a place — courses are kept small and fill quickly. If you're further along, get in touch and we'll find the best fit.
- How much do your classes cost?
- Our four-week antenatal course is £150 per couple and includes a goody bag. The STORK neonatal first aid session is £40 per couple. Personalised one-to-one antenatal classes are priced on application — get in touch and we'll talk through what you need.
- Can my birth partner come to the classes?
- Absolutely — partners are warmly welcomed and actively included. A big part of every course is helping your birth partner know exactly how to support and advocate for you on the day.
- What is STORK neonatal first aid?
- STORK stands for Supportive Training Offering Reassurance and Knowledge. It's a two-hour hands-on session covering ten basic life support aspects of training with newly born babies, plus how to use the STORK app. It's open to parents, carers, grandparents and wider family.

- Are your classes suitable if I'm planning a caesarean or have a high-risk pregnancy?
- Yes. As experienced midwives we tailor everything to your situation, including planned caesarean birth, induction and consultant-led care. Hypnobirthing techniques work for every kind of birth.
- How are you different from free NHS antenatal classes?
- Our groups are kept small, led by midwives with over 40 years of combined NHS experience, and there's time for your individual questions, worries and birth preferences — plus ongoing support after the course ends.
